I really enjoyed this ghost story. The pacing was perfect to keep me engaged and wondering what would happen next. And I always enjoy a thriller with unexpected twists and turns. I honestly read this in one sitting at night, because I didn't want to put it down, I kept wondering what would happen next. This story is worth taking a chance on if you happen to enjoy this genre of writing. I look forward to reading more from this author!Product details

Great ghost story!!! Almost felt like I was watching a movie. The ending though......can't say that I expected it at all. Definitely recommend!!!!
I wasn't sure at first if it was going to be the same old typical ghost story. But I was pleasantly surprised. It had substance and a major game changer at the end that made it a fiver for me! I recommend this book and will read more of Steven Jenkins work!
The first part of the story is painfully slow almost uninteresting. Kept reading in hopes it would pick up and get better and it did get better . The story Was good for passing a couple of hrs waiting for family to arrive from out of state. If It had not been for my family being late ,I probably wouldn't of finished the book.
Fast read. Clear plot and relatable characters. Matt tried so hard to do the right thing that I was rooting for him to come out on top. The only questionable scene I have is when the physic couldn't feel any trace of Lucy. She was there terrorizing them. What happened?
I feel like I just read 2 different stories, neither of which had characters I liked. It glorifies suicide as sometimes unavoidable. That is not the message anyone needs to read. The ghost parts of the story were chilling, just not frequent enough. The non ghost parts were repugnant about 2 people who had no class and were too busy getting drunk or fighting about getting married for anyone to care about. Most haunting, less maudlin, emo crap.
For maybe two thirds of this book, I thought it was not at all intriguing for a ghost story. First of all, very early on, with some of the strange occurences, the couple talk about the flat having a ghost. This ruins all mystery and spookiness for me. That kind of thing should be unspoken in a ghost story, at least until the plot has developed to the point where that possibility is almost undeniable. This really ruined a lot of it for me. Also the writing is not particularly compelling. However, toward the end of the story, a new plot development is added, and the story takes a dramatic turn, becoming a whole lot more exciting and with a surprising ending. So that make this book just okay for me, but not a four or five star book.
I figured I would try something a little out of my wheelhouse and this cover drew me in. The cover is phenomenal.
This story is about Matt, Aimee and Aimee’s cat, Luna. Matt is 32 who had been living with his mother due to a tragic event years earlier. Matt and Aimee (24) decide to move in together and from the beginning weird things have started to happen. While Aimee believes in ghosts, Matt does not. Things continue to escalate for the couple and prove to test their relationship.
For the most part, I enjoyed this story. There were occurrences that one could predict, but for the most part there were a lot of surprise elements. The middle section felt a little sluggish to me, but the ending, holy moley didn’t see that one coming. I would recommend this book to anyone who truly enjoys paranormal/horror stories. I look forward to reading more from Steven Jenkins.
